Luxe Mountain Retreat in N Cascades hot tub, sauna

This was the pefect setting to get engaged :) Positive: Luxe Mountain Retreat was the perfect getaway. The house clearly is brand new, sets the perfect modern cabin feel, and is well-appointed. The owner thought of everything, from cooking spray, to sugar packets and alternative sweeteners for coffee, to even jars for makeup removal and dental floss. The kitchen had an array of spices, and plenty of cookware and sharp knives to allow for home cooked meals. Beds were comfortable; temp control individualized, and the views, especially from the back deck, could not be beat. The hot tub and sauna just topped off the experience. 20 minutes and you are well into the North Cascades National Park. Negative: The property, as the map shows, runs by Highway 20 but because it is such an obscure National Park, there is minimal car traffic, and certainly none going by at night (being just about the last town before entering the Park). The bulk of the house and back patio was designed to face the mountain so you never looked at road, just mountains and sunsets…and wildlife.
